"Lost in translation/Perdidos en Tokio" (2003)

I didn't like this movie at all, I considered it boring and kind of got lost in many parts of the movie. Also, the characters showed lots of sadness and illness of what they were doing. I also didn't like it, because of all the japones people and their bad acting, in my opinion. 

At the beginning, they present us Bob, the man that is filming a whisky commercial. He is having lots of problemas adapting where he is, to many noises, nothing to see in the television and he doesn't even understand the people that is supposed to help him understand what they are saying. On the other hand, we have Charlotte, a young lady that is their being his husband is working, and su only stays in her room, nobody to talk to and just lying in bed or seeing outside from the big window. Both of the two main characters aren't enjoying any part of being in Tokio, they are having a miserable life there. 

The story changes a little bit when they meet, sitting there on the bar, drink and exchanging who they are and what they do. It has a great change and show dos person miserable that when they are together, they feel complete, they have fun and laugh and enjoy the moment together. At the end, they don't get to be together, but they found and met themselves. 

During they scenes we can see lots of negative transfers, almost in every scene when Bob is working, when they photographer is telling him what to do for the video's commercials and photos, also when he meets with the translator and his agents there in Tokio. Another scene is when Charlotte and Bob go to the hospital, and they get to the reception and the person their doesn't speak Spanish and they just by hand symbols kind of understand. Also, when Charlotte is with the doctor, the doctor speaks and speaks but Charlotte doesn't understand. We also have lots of Translation error, for example "oh, it's amazing" and in the subtitle it uses a synonym and translate it as 'es maravilloso", when it should be " es increible". Another example is "I'll see you later" referring that they will meet much later, only that in the subtitle they make the translation like "Nos vemos en la tarde" but the phrase is "te veo luego." They use other words, that are similar and give the same message. "It never returns" is another example of error translation, if we translate it literally, we have, "Nunca regresara" but the phrase used in the subtitle, its adapting it to its context, which in Bobs and Charlotte conversation meaning "it's not going to be the same, only in the subtitle it was used like that "Nunca sera igual". In the question, "Are you having a nice time?" it's asking if the es enjoying, literally in the sentence it doesn't use the work "fun"; but in the subtitle we have the question in Spanish like "te estas divirtiendo?", it is giving the point of the scene. In the movie we have an idiom phrase, "figure out the angles" which in Spanish like it reflected in the subtitle means "se que te ocurrir que hacer". Also, in this movie I found dos anglicism, which is Baby and Goodness, but in the subtitle, there is a translation error because they translate the word Baby as Nena and My goodness as Cielos.
