"Babel" 

Babel has a great plot; the only thing is that if you don't pay attention to the detalles you can get lost. From my point of view, I understood the 3 stories that were connected, the story of Richard and Susan that were Susan got shot by Yussef and his brothers who were playing with their gun, and Amelia the babysitter who was taking care of two little kids, Susan and Richard son and daughter. I got carry on with their story, because they were connected. It was an amazing movie; it got my attention. They only part that I got confused was, were the deaf girl participated. I understood, her story, it reflected the problems and difficulties she has in her life because she's deaf and isn't above to talk.  

It's a really interesting movie, with different meanings and different points of view from the four story. We can see different cultures and believes reflected. At the same time, all the difficulties each one faces, like Richard has he realize that his wife got shot, and the place where they are, aren't doctors and how the people that are with them abandon them. How, Yussef realizes that she shot someone while they were playing arround, how he has to live with fear, and at the ends, sees how his father tries to safe them and at the ends he sees his brother die. Amelia, the babysitter takes the two little kids to her country and when they are going back home, the Migra wants to arrest them, and they get lost in the dessert, and at the end, little girl dies. Cheiko Wataya, who presents her desires of getting attention and being seen, having to do things like getting naked for guys. 

In this movie, we can see in some anglicism like "Honey", where in the phrase it used like a love nicknamed for Richard's wife, which if we translate it, its "mi vida" in the subtitle. Which presents a translation error. Another translation error is "Sweeties", in the subtitle it says in Spanish "mi vida", but if we translate it using a literal translation it has to say " mi ducles", practically we can consider it as in anglicism and a translation error. We also have an Oblique Translation in one phrase that is, "No", and in the translation in Spanish it is reflected as " No muy lejos", giving it a contextualization to the phrase for it to be understood. An many scenes where they deaf girl comes out, we can see that she presents lots of problem to communicate with other people, especially people that doesn't know her. In many of her scene we can realize negative transfers as she tries to communicate with other people, like guys.
